Strike out against flu: Flu clinics coming to a fire station near you
CHENANGO COUNTY – The Chenango County Health Department and the Chenango County Area Agency on Aging are co-sponsoring flu clinics at various fire stations throughout the county through the month of October.
The clinics are for people aged three and up, and are for Chenango County residents only.
The dates, times, and locations for the flu clinics are listed as follows:
• South Otselic Firehouse, October 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Norwich Firehouse, October 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Oxford Firehouse, October 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Bainbridge Firehouse, October 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Sherburne Firehouse, October 30 from 5 p.m. 7 p.m.
Ages three to 18 will be able to receive flu shots free of charge. Ages 19 and older who have Medicare B will also receive their shot free of charge, and those who do not have Medicare B will be charged $17 at the time of vaccination. Checks can be made payable to Chenango County Area Agency on Aging.
The county notes that they cannot accept a Medicare Advantage Plan as payment.
