OV's defense prevails in win over Brookfield

OTSELIC – Despite Brookfield out-shooting the Lady Vikings by a large margin, Otselic Valley girls soccer team came out on top in a 3-1 victory at home on Tuesday night.
14 shots came from the feet of Brookfield players yet OV's goalie Lacy Wood only allowed one to pass by her. That goal was scored by Brookfield's Hannah Barber.
Lady Viking Lily Lyon netted her first two varsity goals. Lyon, a freshman got her first career varsity start. Teammates Summer Sergent and Sara Kenyon each recorded an assist on the evening. Otselic Valley's final tally of the night came from Grace Costa
"This was a big victory for us that we hope will springboard our efforts for the rest of the season," said OV's Head Coach Eric Wentworth. "Victoria Reichard played extremely well controlling the ball in the mid field and setting up opportunities for us to score."
Otselic Valley looks to create a win streak when they face Madison in a Saturday night match-up, September 30, on their home field at 6:30 p.m.
