Connor Stafford rips OV apart as Cincy downs the Vikings at 6-0

CINCINNATUS – Four goals in a game is a fantastic feat to accomplish and that is exactly what Connor Stafford and his Cincinnatus squad did, defeating Otselic Valley boys soccer team at home by a score of 6-0.

“It was a struggle to get anything going tonight. We were flat and tired as we just previously played a night game at Morrisville-Eaton, yesterday,” said Otselic Valley head coach Jacob Preston. “Connor Stafford had a great game, along with Rem McCumber for Cincinnatus. For OV standout play was by Jonah VanVoorhis.”

OV fell into a 3-0 hole in the first half of play – with Connor Stafford scoring twice and Rem McCumber. Up 3-0 at the half – Cincy added three additional goals in the second half to top off the dominating night.

Scoring in the second half for Cincy was Connor Stafford – opening two goals – followed up by Caden Stafford with a goal of his own.

For the first 60 minutes of the game, OV employed Garrett Forest as their goalkeeper, as he made 10 saves while giving up five goals. Deven Pelky played in goal for the Vikings, giving up one goal and four saves.
