CHENANGO VALLEY – Unadilla Valley are the Midstate Athletic Conference champions in golf after shooting a team score of 537, topping the second place team Sidney by 16 strokes. Sidney ended as the league regular season winner as they finished with a record of 12-0.

UV improved drastically from last year’s tournament that ended in a second to last place finish.

The Storm’s stellar performance was lead by ninth grader Brandon Kneale and junior Andrew Jackson, who both recorded an 18-hole round 87. Also tying the low 87 was Delhi’s Ben Arehart. To determine the winner, tie-breaker rules came into effect.

UV’s Kneale was crowned the MAC Conference individual winner after he was established the winner of the tie-breakers. Delhi’s Arehart finished second and the Storm’s Jackson followed with third place.

Other area schools that partcipated were Bainbridge-Guilford, Greene, Afton-Harpurville, Oxford, Sidney and Deposit-Hancock.
