Hennessey records hat trick as Adirondack tops Lady Marauders 3-1

BOONVILLE – The Marauders were on the road Thursday afternoon as they visited Adirondack in hopes of a win. Unfortunately, Adirondack’s Emma Hennessey scored all three goals for a hat trick as she led her team to the win over Sherburne-Earlville.
S-E jumped out to an early lead as Courtney Geier found the back of the net. Her goal, however, was the only goal that the Marauders scored as Adirondack’s keeper Kasidy stopped 13 other shots Sherburne-Earlville took throughout the contest.
McKenzie Holmes shutout Adirondack in the first half and stopping a total 17 from reaching the net.
Hennessey scored her hat trick in the second half, erasing the Marauder lead in route to the win. Her goals were assisted by Isabella Kranbuhl twice while Ciara Schaffer recored one.
Sherburne-Earlville is in action again on Tuesday as they travel to Holland Patent for the second time this season. In the first meeting between the two, S-E took the win at home as the game ended 2-1 in overtime sessions.
