NY Mills tops the visiting Marauders with help from hat-trick performance
NY MILLS – The thorn in the side of the lady Marauders field hockey team, NY Mills Alyssa Fucillo – netted a hat-trick in her efforts to pull off the late game win at 4-2 this past Friday.
Sherburne-Earlville field hockey managed nine shots and scored twice – both in the first half.
However, it was NY Mills who used some superb talent, coupled with 11 shots on goal for the team to double the visitors score for the home win.
Kailey Brown of NY Mills scored first to break the silence at 26:38 in the first half. S-E answered right back – as Jessie Burato scored at 24:22, to even the score.
It was then that NY Mills watched the first of three goals from Alyssa Fucillo find back of the S-E goal – taking the 2-1 lead into the half with just 4:25 remaining in the first half.
