Bobcat volleyball rolls to dominating home win for senior night
BAINBRIDGE – Outscoring the visiting Sidney Warriors at 75-21, B-G once again showed why any and all teams in the Section IV volleyball realm are not up for the task of beating the Bobcats.
Prior to the first serve of the Bobcats landslide 25-4 first set – Bainbridge-Guilford celebrated their lone graduating senior; Miranda Anderson, a three-year varsity player.
Already up 1-0 after smearing Sidney all across the court, B-G returned to form once again – allowing seven points to be scored against them for a 25-7 win in set two. Set three garnered the closest score with the lady Bobcats once again winning but at the cost of a 25-10 final set.
In the mismatched win, Bainbridge-Guilford enjoyed three solid individual performances from Miranda Anderson with four kills, Abigail Selfridge with four aces, nine assists, and six kills and Erica Selfridge with six aces, 11 assists, and three kills.
Sidney, while not scoring much, looked to have a solid individual effort in the shutout road loss by Julia Obeada with five digs, Juliet Gagliardo with one kill and one block, Ale Johnson with two digs, Bailey Jones with one ace, and Amber Rogers with one assist and one dig.
