BID names Shull recipient of Commitment to Community Award
NORWICH – Local restaurant owner Dave Shull has been named recipient of the 2017 Norwich Business Improvement District's (BID) Commitment to Community Award.
The BID's Commitment to Community Award is given annually to an individual, or individuals, that the BID Board of Directors feels has shown exceptional commitment to the local community, said BID Executive Director Ann Coe.
"Dave is someone that consistently gives back to our community regardless of pay or recognition," said Coe. "It was an honor to present him the award at our 2017 annual meeting."
Shull was honored at the BID's annual meeting on Wednesday, October 25 at Wild Owl Café in Norwich.
"I'm so honored and grateful to be the recipient of the Commitment to Community Award," said Shull. "It's very humbling to be mentioned among previous recipients of this award."
Shull is owner of Nina's Pizzeria and Restaurant, which is regularly hosting fundraisers for local organizations called Community Give Back Nights, and also catering to local events.
"We are so blessed to live in such a wonderful community," said Shull. "We are looking forward to always contributing and giving back to a community that has always supported us."
Both Shull and Coe offered their gratitude to Wild Owl Café for hosting the BID's 2017 annual meeting.
