Dairy Day scholarships available for county ag. students

CHENANGO COUNTY – The Chenango County Dairy Day scholarship deadline is quickly approaching, and organizers are seeking eligible applicants.

With money raised at Dairy Day this past June, the committee hopes to promote leadership development and encourage students to pursue careers in agriculture.

The award of $1,000 will be awarded to a qualifying college student pursuing a degree in agriculture, or a closely related field.

All applicants must have completed at least one semester of college with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher and must have participated in some capacity in Chenango County agriculture.

All applications are due by Friday, January 5, and the winner will be announced January 16.

For a copy of the application or for further information, please visit Dairy Day at www.cce.org/agriculture/dairy-day or contact Ashley Russell at anr72@cornell.edu or by phone at (607) 334-5841.
