Windsor 52, Bainbridge-Guilford 44
BAINBRIDGE – One night earlier, the Bobcats came back from 11 down to top league opponent Unatego on the road. In their second game of a back-to-back, Bainbridge-Guilford didn’t have a magical comeback against Windsor, losing 52-44 Friday night.
Taking a 10 point lead into the intermission, the Bobcats carried the momentum from Thursday’s game in hopes of making it two straight wins.
But with a tough third quarter, being held to just Trevor Halaquist’s five points in the stanza, the advantage quickly shifted in favor of the Black Knights as they scored 26 to take the 42-31. Of their points scored, Windsor’s Zach Wolcott dialed in from beyond the arc, hitting four threes in the eight minute span.
The Bobcats were able to pull within four with 1:30 remaining in the contest but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Black Knights lead from the third.
“We had another rough night shooting, especially from the three-point line [0-16],” said head coach Brad Aldrich.
Bainbridge-Guilford travels to Oxford for their next game on Wednesday for a MAC conference game. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
