Norwich woman arrested for criminal sale of cocaine

NORWICH – On Friday Norwich Police Department concluded an investigation into the sale of cocaine in the City of Norwich that began in fall 2017 with the arrest of one individual.

Heather A. Pollock, 29, of Norwich was arrested and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.

"This was another example of a coordinated investigation with the Sheriff's Office and the Norwich Police Department," said NPD Detective Reuben Roach. "Throughout investigation in the fall of 2017, we were able to interdict cocaine coming into the City of Norwich."

Police said the investigation began in fall 2017 and culminated in Pollock's arrest Friday. The investigation was conducted along with members of the Chenango County Sheriff's Office.

If convicted, the charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree carries a sentence of up to nine years.

Pollock was arraigned by Norwich City Court Judge Michael J. Genute on Friday afternoon and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Pollock is scheduled to reappear in city court at a later date.
