Northeast Classic Car Museum awarded for preserving history

NORWICH – Northeast Classic Car Museum Board of Trustees members attended an award ceremony where the institution received national recognition for preserving automobile history.

The award ceremony attended by nearly 500 people was held on February 10, and hosted by the Antique Automobile Club of America in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

“It’s our version of the Oscars,” explained club Executive Director Steve Moskowitz.

A panel of 21 people voted to decide who was deserving of the award, and Moskowitz said he knows why the museum in Norwich won.

“The museum there got the most amount of votes because they quickly proved to us that it's a high quality museum.”

Moskowitz added, “There are dedicated people that work there, and it was their time to be awarded.”

Trustees, Philip Giltner and Joseph Angelino accepted the award on behalf of the museum, and its staff.
