Monday morning South Plymouth house fire leaves minor damage

SOUTH PLYMOUTH – A house fire at a residence in South Plymouth on Monday morning left minimal damage, Plymouth Fire Chief Shawn Cushman said.


Dispatchers received a call shortly before 7 a.m. Monday morning reporting a fire in progress at 114 Old Country Club Road in South Plymouth. Cushman said volunteers from Plymouth Fire Department and Norwich Fire Department were at the scene within 10 minutes of the call.


Emergency crews had the scene under control by around 7:30 a.m., and Cushman said there was minimal damage. He said the fire originated in the eves on the backside of the residence.
