Newly founded Friday Morning Community Market seeks vendors
NORWICH – A new farmers market in Norwich's East Park is seeking vendors to take part in the market on Friday mornings.
Founded by Market Manager Carol Eichler, the Friday Morning Community Market is accepting all kinds of vendors to participate in the market which is now open every Friday morning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through the first Friday in November.
Vendors interested in participating should contact Eichler at (607) 334-7674.
"[The Friday Morning Community Market] came about because we decided that we needed another day in the week to offer goods to the community," said Eichler.
Currently the market offers produce, handmade crafts, handmade tie-dyes, as well as products offered by A Little Herbal Shoppe, and range eggs by West Hill Farms.
Eichler said the market is specifically seeking vendors offering honey, maple syrup, produce, or handmade crafts.
More vendors are slated to join this summer as their produce ripens, Eichler said, adding that those vendors will also bring along other treats like baked goods.
The market accepts WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program checks as well as FreshConnect checks.
