Code enforcement office: Most political signs shouldn't be erected yet
NORWICH – The City of Norwich Code Enforcement Office is reminding residents that political signs are not to be erected more than 30 days prior to the election or referendum concerned––or for most elections, not before October 6.
City of Norwich Code Enforcement Officer Amy Donnison said the office has received complaints about political signs erected on lawns for elections that are taking place in November.
Currently, political signs for candidates for state assembly Clifford Crouch and Nick Libous are valid because the candidates are competing in a primary election on September 13.
Other political signs cannot be erected until October 6, Donnison said, because the general election on November 7 is more than 30 days away.
