Windsor hands Tornado five stroke loss

NORWICH – Windsor was able to edge out the home Purple Tornado team by just five strokes on the front nine of Canasawacta Country Club Friday morning, winning the match 232-237.


The Black Knights’ Max Evans was crowned the medalist of the match, shooting a round score of 41.


Norwich’s Alex Gage ended his afternoon one stroke behind the lead Evans, finishing with a 42.


Windsor also had two golfers (Andrew Saar and Alex Hubal) tie with the Tornado’s Griffin Clipston as all three players turned in a scorecard reading a 45. Clipston’s 45 was the second best score for Norwich.

Kai Scheer and John Ryan shot a 47 and 48 respectively for the home team. Max Marson wrapped up the Norwich top five golfers with a 55.
