Blackhawks and Bobcats set for a MAC Championship rematch; Delhi sweep Hornets, 3-0

BAINBRIDGE – The defending Midstate Athletic Conference champion Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats swept the visiting Walton Warriors in three games Tuesday evening. The Bobcats did not allow Walton to score over nine points in the any of the game played.

Taking the first set by a score of 25-6, B-G won the next two 25-9.

The win sets up the another MAC finals appearance for the Bobcats, who will face Oxford for a rematch from the 2017 conference championship.

Abi Selfridge and Erica Selfridge passed out a combined total of 18 assists for B-G. Abi added with seven aces and four kills while had six aces, six kills and a dig. Zamira Caldwell ended the night with three aces, five kills and two blocks and teammate Sasha Lamoree recorded one ace, five assists and three kills.

Walton’s Emma Walley had five kills and a block for the Warriors. Teammate Hailey Gardner matched her kill total of five as well.

The MAC Championship game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time while Walton travels to Unadilla Valley for the consolation match. Both contests are scheduled for Thursday.
