Police charge Morris man with rape in New Berlin
NEW BERLIN – New York State Police have charged a Morris man with rape after he allegedly threatened a victim with a knife and then sexually assaulted them.
Dustin C. Freeman, 30, of Morris was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree criminal sexual act, and first-degree unlawful imprisonment following an incident on December 5.
"Troopers were able to locate Freeman in the city of Rome, NY where he fled on foot," said police. "He was taken into custody after a brief search by Rome City Police Officers, New York State Parole and Troop D members."
