Police seize nearly 2 kilos of meth in Norwich

NORWICH – The Chenango County Sheriff's Office held a press conference on Monday after a successful drug raid in the City of Norwich lead to the seizure of nearly 2 kilos of meth, along with several other drug types, cash, and a handgun.

The office said two individuals, Corey A. Weidman, 34, and Cheyanne D. Moore, 22, both of Norwich have been charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The joint operation was conducted by the Norwich Police Department, Chenango County Sheriff's Office, and New York State Police.
