Norwich to name interim superintendent at BOE meeting Wednesday
NORWICH – After interviewing four candidates, the Norwich City School District Board of Education has chosen an interim superintendent to begin this summer and will announce its selection on Wednesday evening at its next board meeting.
DCMO BOCES Superintendent Perry Dewey – the district's designated search consultant for finding a new superintendent – said on Friday the board of education had selected an interim superintendent after interviewing four candidates last week at the DCMO BOCES campus in Norwich.
The board will announce the name and salary of the interim superintendent, who will succeed Gerard O'Sullivan following his retirement in August after 15 years as Norwich's superintendent. A press release from the district said all four of the interviewed candidates have extensive experience as school administrators.
