NORWICH – After leading its company in community support, Norwich’s Alvogen received global recognition for its work in local beautification projects, employee leadership, and non-profit support.
Alvogen is a pharmaceutical company operating in 35 countries around the world with one of their leading production facilities in Norwich, New York.
According to Charlie Andrews, Vice President of Operations at Norwich’s Alvogen, a global meeting was recently held in Reykjavik, Iceland for the leaders of the Alvogen business.
“Senior members of the global organization gathered to recognize their shared accomplishment of growing the business from $35 Million in revenue to over $1 Billion in just under 10 years,” said Andrews. “Plans were established to continue that success and our Norwich facility plays strongly in those plans.”
He said in recognition of the great work being done internationally, five internal awards were delivered by Alvogen’s CEO, and the “Better Planet Award,” was accepted by the leaders of the Norwich facility.
“The Better Planet Award recognizes the positive impact the Company has on its local community,” said Andrews. “Beyond providing well paying jobs in support of the local economy, Norwich also makes special effort to engage in community activities in many ways.”
