CHENANGO COUNTY – Norwich won the quarterfinals matchup against the Sabers in overtime 67-61 to advance into the semifinals of the Section IV Class B bracket.
Also surviving a close game outcome was the Unadilla Valley boys basketball team, defeating the Delhi Bulldogs in the Class C bracket with a final of 50-44.
The Lady Bobcats of Bainbridge-Guilford defeated Newfield 54-44 in the girls Class C tournament and Abi Selfridge reached yet another milestone of her athletic career at B-G.
The results from the Section IV Indoor Track and Field state qualifying ends with tickets punched to the New York State Championships next weekend for five Norwich and two Unadilla Valley stand-out athletes.
All of these stories will be featured in tomorrow’s edition of the sports section.
