GREENE – The Greene Central School Board of Education approved Timothy Calice as its new superintendent. Calice and the board agreed to a three-year contract that will commence July 1.
The Board of Education selected Calice in March and negotiated a contract that was officially approved at Wednesday night’s Board of Education meeting.
“It is with great enthusiasm that I and my colleagues on the Greene Central School District Board of Education announce the selection of our next school superintendent,” Board of Education president Brian Milk said in a statement when Calice was chosen to succeed interim superintendent Gordon Daniels. “Mr. Calice possesses the proven leadership skills and passion for education that we believe will be critical to guiding our district through the years ahead. Tim has demonstrated experience in curriculum and professional development, budget preparation, capital project management and community outreach. Most importantly, his commitment to, and passion for our district is second to none.”
