Man facing charges after alleged arson in Plymouth
PLYMOUTH – Police arrested a man on Saturday after an investigation lead them to believe he started a barn fire in Plymouth.
Christopher Bonno, 30, was charged with fourth-degree arson, third-degree burglary, and resisting arrest on the day after the fire.
According to Plymouth Fire Department First Assistant Chief Shawn Cushman, the department was dispatched to a barn fire at around 8 p.m. on Saturday located at 3973 State Highway 23 in the Town of Plymouth.
He said arriving units found smoke coming from a large hay barn, but no fire was found and the smoldering hay was extinguished. He added that the City of Norwich Fire Department was first to arrive on scene.
