Guitarist George Anderson playing at Oxford Farmers’ Market Saturday
OXFORD—The Oxford Farmers’ Market welcomes composer George Anderson back to the Bandstand in Lafayette Park this Saturday, June 1, 10 am to noon.
Anderson’s bluesy instrumentals and distinctive slide technique have become synonymous with Saturdays on the Park. Playing a variety of acoustic, electric-acoustic, solid body-electric and Dobro guitars, as well as keyboards, Anderson draws his listeners in and holds them there. Among his many achievements, George Anderson has composed music and lyrics for film, TV, and radio, and is also a published author.
All events at the Oxford Farmers' Market are free and open to the public.
On the park, shoppers will find over 30 vendors offering a variety of fresh seasonal produce, home-made breads and baked goods, local yogurt, cheeses, eggs, chicken, certified organic grass-fed ground beef, jams, fudge, honey and maple products. Home gardeners will find a wide selection of bedding and vegetable plant starts, bulbs and hanging arrangements. And for those looking for the perfect gift, a wealth of locally-raised alpaca and wool products, unique hand-crafted wooden and fabric items, and jewelry.
All from neighbors you can meet, whose hands you can shake.
Come spend a morning in good company, listening to great music while supporting local producers and performers at the Oxford Farmers’ Market.
More information about the Oxford Farmers’ Market can be found on their website www.oxfordfarmersmarket.org or by calling 607-226-6483.
