Sherburne-Earlville to honor first Athletic Hall of Fame class this June

SHERBURNE – A standout runner, a prolific basketball scorer and two cross country teams will be honored during the first Sherburne-Earlville Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on June 18.
Sherburne-Earlville’s inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame class features former Section 4 champion runner Rob Baker (Class of 1987), former boys’ basketball star Bob White (Class of 1972), and S-E’s 1989 and 1990 Class C-D state champion boys’ cross country teams.
Inductees will be honored at 6 p.m. on June 18 in the S-E Middle School/High School Auditorium. S-E’s Athletic Awards Night for students will follow the Induction Ceremony.
Future Athletic Hall of Fame inductions will take place every other year, meaning the next class will be honored in 2021. The Sherburne-Earlville Central School District will induct its next Hall of Fame class in 2020 and ensuing even-numbered years.

Rob Baker
Sherburne-Earlville’s Rob Baker won Section IV titles in consecutive academic years, taking the Class C 3,200-meter run crown in 1985-86 and the overall sectional 3,200 championship in the 1986-87 season.
