Morris and Edmeston United Methodist Churches welcome new pastor

EDMESTON – Bishop Mark J. Webb of the Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church has announced the appointment of Reverend John W. Buddle to the Morris and Edmeston United Methodist Churches as the full-time pastor.


Buddle most recently served as pastor at the Davenport United Methodist Church since July 2017, and as a lay servant for the United Ministry in Delhi prior to that appointment. Buddle has lived in the Oneonta and Goodyear Lake areas for the past 17 years and is a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church.

Following three years of study Buddle received his license for pastoral ministry in April 2019. He will continue his ministerial studies towards full connection with the United Methodist Church through theWesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC.


The new reverend and his wife, Nicholette, will reside in the parsonage of the Morris church. Buddle will begin preaching at his new churches on Sunday, July 7, 2019.
