BAINBRIDGE – State police arrested an Afton woman Monday after discovering she was boarding several malnourished horses at her property in the Town of Bainbridge.

Police were pursuing tips from horse owners when they found the animals that they say were malnourished and had sores on their bodies. They later arrested 40-year-old Jennifer Longwell of Afton.

Longwell is charged with the misdemeanor of overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals, and the failure to provide proper substance.
