NORWICH – Two nonprofits dedicated to improving communities made a presentation to the City of Norwich Joint Committee this week, discussing their work and the impact it could have on Norwich.

On Tuesday night, Improve Norwich Now (I.N.N) President Jen Westervelt and Vice-President Brandon Clarke, along with The Impact Project Executive Director Jim Willard III, made a presentation to the committee.

The two groups gave a presentation on taking vacant homes in the City of Norwich and turning them into something city residents can be proud of.

Improve Norwich Now is a not-for-profit group that is working towards making Chenango County a proactive, cooperative area focused on next-level growth for all.

The Impact Project is also a not-for-profit group dedicated towards providing free home repairs along with handicap accessible ramps to those in need throughout Central New York including in Chenango, Otsego, and Broome County.

At the meeting, I.N.N. representatives provided Norwich's Joint Committee Members a list of homes they've visited that are either vacant or in need of significant repair in the City of Norwich, and discussed a plan to take those homes and fix them.
