Fate of Oxford fire station on docket of tonight’s forum
OXFORD – The Oxford Village Board will host a public forum at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss the threat of riverbank erosion near the fire station and options that the village has to protect the facility.
Village officials have said the situation has “prompted the village and fire department to quicken the pace of review of long-term fire service needs.”
Tonight’s forum will also clarify the role of the Facilities Review Committee and the village’s contracted services with Hueber-Breuer Fire Service Company to conduct a study examining riverbank erosion, existing conditions of the fire station, and ways to meet long-term needs.
