Rep. Brindisi tours Chenango County today

NEW BERLIN – Congressman Anthony Brindisi will be in Chenango County Tuesday to meet with locals on topics that include dairy safety nets, veterans programming, and the quality of broadband in rural areas.

Brindisi will tour the Finch Family Farm at 172 Branch Rd. in South New Berlin at 1 p.m. Farmers with questions about the Dairy Margin Coverage Program are encouraged to attend.

At 3:30 p.m., Brindisi will join local reps of the Department of Veteran Affairs and the Chenango County Area Agency on Aging to discuss the Veterans Affair Mission Act rolled out in June. The event will be held at the Sherburne Public Library at 2 E. Main St. in Sherburne.

Lastly, Brindisi will host a town hall to discuss his rural broadband initiatives at 4:45 p.m. at the Sherburne-Earlville High School gymnasium at 13 School St. in Sherburne. All residents are invited to attend.
