New Norwich pizza restaurant to open this month
NORWICH – A new restaurant with roots in Norwich is hosting a grand opening ceremony come mid-September with gyros, pizza, burgers, and more for people to enjoy.
Angela's is scheduled to open at 6142 State Highway 12 in Norwich North Plaza next to evolve fitness.
According to Restaurant Owner Angela Titus, this business is a continuation of her father's pizza tradition, mixed with her own style and preferences.
"There are a lot of places to get Italian food in Norwich right now, so we're branching out to cover other foods like gyros and burgers," said Titus. "When I was thinking about what kind of restaurant I wanted, I decided, let's try something different."
She said so far the response has been amazing, and she looks forward to getting back to what she loves to do.
"This is where my heart is," said Titus. "The business will be staffed by me, my husband Brock Titus, and the Dabbraccio family."
Titus said she plans on having pasta specialties on the menu, but doesn't want to limit the restaurant by doing pasta full time.
"There are a ton of dishes that come with making pasta," she said. "I'm hoping by cutting back on things like the number of pasta dishes we do, we can keep our menu smaller and easier to manage."
She said while the restaurant was scheduled to open early next month, some minor setbacks have delayed the opening until mid-September. She added that hopefully the community will come out when the event date is announced, and she looks forward to seeing new and long-time customers at the grand opening.
