NORWICH – A truck caught on fire in Norwich Sunday after driving up County Route 10A while hauling hay. Officials said there were no injuries to the driver.

According to Norwich Fire Department Chief Jan Papelino, at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday an individual was traveling on County Route 10A in the Town of Norwich when their Ford F250 caught on fire.

"The truck was likely working going up the hill, and I believe they were hauling hay at the same time which might have stressed the engine," said Papelino. "The truck eventually stopped just before the corner by Manley Road."
