OXFORD – Elaine Sherman of Tremolo will return to the Oxford Farmers’ Market Saturday, September 7, from 10 am to noon. Sherman has been playing traditional, folk, Irish, and popular music on the hammered dulcimer for over 20 years.

Her open and generous approach to everything she plays is the perfect accompaniment to the liveliness of the Market. Elaine has previously played in other groups, including The Wild Geese, a Celtic/Americana band from the Reading, Pennsylvania area, as well as Omeoba, a girl duo, and When Pigs Fly, a local trio that plays weddings and special occasions.

On the park more than 20 outstanding vendors will be offering a wide variety of fresh seasonal produce, home-made breads and baked goods; local yogurt, cheeses, and butters; eggs, chicken, beef (including certified organic and grass-fed ground beef) and lamb; jams, fudge, honey and maple products. Home gardeners will find a wide selection of bedding plants and hanging arrangements. For the kitchen and bath, there are fine handmade, soaps, lotions, lathers, tooth powders and lip balms. Those looking for the perfect gift will find locally-raised alpaca and wool products, hand-crafted wooden and pottery crafts, in addition to fine fabric items and jewelry.

For more information about the Market can be found on their website www.oxfordfarmersmarket.org or by calling 607-226-6483.
