The Impact Project to work in South New Berlin
SOUTH NEW BERLIN – A non-profit dedicated to helping people and keeping families in their homes will be visiting South New Berlin on Saturday with plans to help a local resident by building them a handicap accessible ramp.
According to The Impact Project Founder Jim Willard III, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 21 at least 20 volunteers will be arriving at 2978 State Hwy 8 in South New Berlin where homeowner Marie Lamphere resides.
Willard said Lamphere is a senior citizen living in South New Berlin who needs help.
"Getting in and out of her trailer is becoming a very challenging process," he said. "Whether coming in or going out she has to set her walker aside and grab the stair railing with everything she’s got."
Willard said currently Lamphere is struggling with her physical ability and a lack of financial resources to fix the problem.
