Bobcats aces test with conference foe Storm
BAINBRIDGE – The Lady Bobcats of Bainbridge-Guilford cruised to a 3-0 win over Midstate Athletic Conference opponent Unadilla Valley on the volleyball court Wednesday night.
B-G opened the match up with a 25-8 win in game one of the best-of-five contest. The Bobcats allowed the Storm to score just 15 points over the next two matches, sweeping the win in three straight sets. Game two saw a final of 25-5 while the last set of the night was 25-10.
Makenna Clark led the Bobcats as her full statline of 10 aces, four assists, four kills and a block paced the home team.
Erica Selfridge added eight aces to go a long with her eight kills and six assists for Bainbridge-Guilford and libero – a defensive player on the floor – Bree Barber totaled four digs for the Bobcats in the win.
Unadilla Valley’s Leah Gorrell had an ace while teammates Makaylie Canfield (3), Maria Ackerman (2), and Shannon Lloyd (2) combined for seven digs in the match.
