NORWICH – Chenango artists and community members can expect changes as the Chenango Arts Council transitions from a multi-county grant managing organization, to a Chenango County “Everything-Arts” Center.

The decision followed the completion of the 2019-2022 Strategic Plan, and the determination from the New York State Council of the Arts to move the Arts Decentralization (DEC) grants program to a regional organization with larger capacity.

“We are honored with the opportunity to lead the management of the DEC program for another year. We are equally excited to transition the organization to a Chenango County Arts Center where our staff, facilities, and financial resources can concentrate on serving our local artists and arts supporters,” said Executive Director Alecia ONeill.
