UV and Oxford both come away with wins

HARPURSVILLE – After meeting earlier in the week, Afton/Harpursville and Greene took to the court against each other for the second time in four days. The Hornets one again claimed the match victory over the Lady Trojans 3-0, winning both for the week.

Stefanie Allen led the attack for Afton/Harpursville, serving up four aces while knocking 10 kills over the net. Teammate Sophie Grove ended the match with 17 assists and Kylie Havens was the defensive leaders for the home team, finishing the night with 18 digs.

Greene’s Shelby Holt had 13 digs for the Trojans and added two kills and two blocks in the loss Thursday night. Valerie Stracquadanio had a full statline for Greene with two kills, two assists and one ace in the match.

The Hornets travel to Deposit/Hancock on Tuesday for the Midstate Athletic Conference match at 5:30 p.m.

Unadilla Valley 3, Unatego 0

OTEGO – The Storm took a sweep home with them Wednesday night, defeating the host Unatego Spartans 3-0 with games scores of 25-14, 25-23, and 25-17.
