Suspect in police chase wanted for previous hit and run with pedestrian

NORWICH – The City of Norwich Police Department and Chenango County Sheriff's Office are seeking the man they believe led officers on a high speed chase along State Highway 12 Friday morning.

Norwich police said the suspect in Friday's chase was 31-year-old Christopher Lacroce. Police said they are seeking his arrest over a previous warrant and more charges are likely following Friday's pursuit.

Lacroce is wanted on a felony assault warrant for a previous hit and run, after hitting a pedestrian in the City of Norwich three weeks earlier, officials said.

Anyone with any information about Lacroce should contact the Norwich Police or Chenango Sheriff's Office. Police recommend residents call them and not take any action on their own.
