NORWICH – How did a former resident from the land of the Pharaohs come to spend part of his eternal rest among the living in central New York?
Find out during “The Mummy: Experience Egypt in CNY” when the Chenango County Historical Society’s (CCHS) popular “Third Thursday” programming concludes for the season. Join special guests from the Cazenovia Public Library (CPL) and Museum for an intriguing presentation at 7 p.m. on Oct. 17 at CCHS.
“The Mummy: Experience Egypt in CNY” will focus on the role of Robert J. Hubbard and his 1894 Grand Tour Adventure, which yielded CPL’s Egyptian Collection ̶ and, most notably, Hen The Mummy. The program will trace Hen’s journey from the Egyptian market to Cazenovia of yesteryear and into the present, where Hen’s life continues to be studied thanks to the marvels of modern technology.
