COLUMBUS – UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital is one step closer to building a new emergency room and walk-in center thanks to a commitment from Golden Artist Colors, Inc.
Officials from the paint manufacturer presented a ceremonial check in the amount of $30,000 to campaign leaders during a small ceremony at their Town of Columbus headquarters.
“On behalf of all the Employee Owners of Golden Artist Colors, I am delighted to be able to share our pledge of $30,000 towards UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital’s capital campaign,” said CEO Mark Golden. “Quality health care is essential for our families living and working in and around Chenango County. We are extremely grateful for the commitment by UHS Chenango Memorial to improve these health care services.”
Campaign Chair Martin Dietrich thanked Golden for its campaign commitment and the leadership role the company plays in both its industry and the community.
“We are grateful for Golden’s support of UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital and all they do for the greater Chenango community,” Dietrich said. “Golden is part of Chenango’s rich manufacturing heritage. When it was founded in 1980, it was a small family business. Today, its products are used by artists and craftspeople around the globe. Many things have changed as they’ve grown, but they remain true to their roots. They make meaningful investments in education and the arts around the world and, at the same time, continue to invest in the community their employee-owners call home.”
