Norwich firemen to be posted on streets during Halloween

NORWICH – The Norwich Fire Department will be posted on city streets this Thursday, distributing candy and providing safe zones for children for the second year in a row.


According to Norwich Fire Department Chief Jan Papelino, both career staff and volunteers will be out in the city on Halloween to ensure children have a safe and candy filled night.


“There will be a couple of trucks that will go out to deliver candy,” said Papelino. “Last year the career staff went to Locust Street and set up there, but we’re hoping to have more coverage this year.”
