Village of New Berlin makes Hyde Park improvements

NEW BERLIN – The Village of New Berlin is pleased to announce a number of improvements to Hyde Park.  


A new spiral slide, resealing and stenciling of the basketball court, a new portable hand washing station, and the repainting of the gazebo.  


The six foot spiral slide was purchased through a grant. Youth Commissioner Michelle Priola and Clerk and Treasurer Kelly Anderson collaborated in the writing of the grant. The $6,446 grant was awarded to the village through the generosity of the   R. C. Smith Foundation. The Village of New Berlin DPW carefully installed the slide during the final week of October.

The basketball court sealing and re-stenciling was funded by a Walmart Community Grant through the Norwich Walmart. The Community Grant purchased the sealant and the basketball court stencil kit. The resealing of the basketball court took place at the beginning of October and the stencil will be applied in the spring.
