Celebrate the season with tradition: Annual Holiday Gift Shop and holiday events at Opera house

EARLVILLE – The Earlville Opera House invites you to peruse the first floor of our historic 19th century building and view the wonderland of handmade treasures that are sure to entice and astound you in our 22nd annual Holiday Gift Shop.
This traditional memorable holiday experience features the best talent of Central New York artists -come shop the best-selling artists of the past with the new and exciting work of first-time participants.
Check out our coveted Holiday Gift Basket Raffle and also take a chance on a 2020 season ticket raffle for just $1. The shop opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 23. Hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays noon to 4 p.m.
The shop will be open through December 21 for last minute gifting needs. Organizers also encourage attendees to buy a gift for someone in need and drop it in our holiday box for delivery to a local charity, and they will do the wrapping.
Officials said this is an opportunity to shop local and support the arts.
In addition, from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 7 in connection with the Village of Earlville’s Holiday Celebration Day, the Opera House will host a Holiday Open House with a bake sale, free ornament and card making for children, a surprise visit by Santa & Mrs. Claus, free cocoa and cookies, membership discounts and a “Silent Night” auction table.
Yes, Santa will be here to judge the winners of the Earlville Event’s Committee’s Gingerbread House decorating contest.
This is a free event taking place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 at the EOH for Earlville families. Each family will get a kit and extra candy to build and decorate a gingerbread house for display in the Opera House’s storefront windows for the week leading up to December 7. Winners will be announced at the community holiday parade.
Register now by calling the EOH, space is limited. Also from 2 to 7:30 p.m. on December 7, Sherburne Music Theater Society will feature a free abridged version of “A Christmas Carol” on the EOH stage. Officials said come on in and warm up with some live theater.
