Carlson was also selected for both the 50 yard and 100 yard freestyle races. Winter was picked for the team with her performances in the 100 yard butterfly and the 200 yard freestyle.
The girls were chosen based on several different guidelines, including the top five fastest swimmers in each of the events throughout the regular season dual meet and invitational meet schedule.
Sectional achievements were not taken into consideration for the selections however, Winter earned a Section IV Class B title in the 100 yard butterfly. The group of four Norwich swimmers also set a new record in the 200 medley relay event at the sectional preliminary meet, an event where they placed second in Class B.
In 2018, the Purple Tornado team did not have a member listed as one of the 11 East Division All-Stars.
