New Berlin Art Forum brings back Holiday Decorating Contest
New Berlin Art Forum is hosting a Holiday Decorating Contest. Local businesses and residents are decorating with lights and décor to match one of three categories; traditional, religious, and most original. NEW BERLIN – On December 11th from 4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Christmas lights will be merry and bright around New Berlin during the Holiday Decorating Contest judging.
Members from the New Berlin Art Forum will be judging lighting and décor of all local businesses and residents who've entered the holiday decorating contest, and awarding trophies for the following categories; Most Original, Religious, and Traditional. They will also have a peoples choice category where they'll ask followers of their Facebook page to vote for their favorite overall.
“This event used to happen years ago, we're hoping to bring it back for years to come,” says event coordinator Carlotta Lanello. “I'm hoping the whole thing will show the spirit of Christmas in New Berlin.”
Winners will be announced on December 18th on the New Berlin Art Forum Holiday Decorating Contest Facebook page.
The award ceremony for the event will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 3 p.m. after the annual Christmas in New Berlin Youth Event held at the Masonic Lodge located on North Main Street in New Berlin.
There is still time to enter the contest, which is open to all local businesses and residents of New Berlin. There are 2 ways to enter. Go to the “New Berlin New York” Facebook page and message your name, address, email, phone, category, and photos of your decorations.
Or you can email your name, address, email, phone, category, and photos of your decorations to: newberlinnewyork@gmail.com. The deadline to submit your entry is December 9th.
