Police investigate Oxford stabbing
OXFORD - An Oxford man was stabbed last week following a confrontation with another individual, but police opted not to press charges after those involved in the investigation told police they did not wish it pursued, officers said.
Police said an 31-year-old Oxford man was stabbed Dec. 19, and was taken to the Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment.
According police records, a 911 call was received at 10:21 p.m. on December 19, that a stabbing had occurred on Fred Wilcox Road in the Town of Oxford.
New York State Troop C Public Information Officer Aga Dembinska confirmed that there was a stabbing but said no arrests have been made at this time.
“The victim in this case declined the option to press charges,” said Dembinska. “We’re still investigating the incident at this time.”
