Storm bowling captures all points in win over Deposit
NEW BERLIN – The boys and girls Storm Bowling team swept the lanes against Deposit Tuesday as both team won all points in the match behind stellar performances by the members of the team.
On the boys side, Colin Grant rolled a match high series of 688 which included a 233, 244 and 211 in the third games. Teammates Brandon Kneale and Will Rumovicz also bowled scores in the 600’s as Kneale finished with a 673 (223, 216, 234) and Rumovicz a 635 (187, 234, 214).
Owen Hill was the only other UV bowler who scored in all three games, ending the afternoon with a 557.
Mike Bliss, Nick Guller and Nate Rumovicz all split games for the fifth bowler on the scorecard as each bowled one game in the match. Bliss scored a 141 in the third game, Nate Rumovicz rolled a 176 in game two. Guller kicked off the match with a 158.
Deposit’s top bowler was Gabe Rynearson as he had a 564 for the match.
The Lady Storm was led by Paige Catena’s 601 series score. She had two games with tallies over 200 (205 in the second and 212 in the third). Teammate Gracie Oglesby had the match’s best single game score with a 242 as she finished with a 551 for the day.
Whitney Rodgers recorded a 520 for the three games while Alicia Grant and Brynn Grant and participated in two games. Alicia rolled a 155 and 122 for her two while Brynn ended with a 180 and 136.
Pyper Kneale rolled 151 in the third game as colleague Anjstina Clark added a 127 for UV.
The visiting team’s Angelina Morley bowled a team-best 463 in the loss.
Unadilla Valley is now off for a week. They take on the team from Greene/Oxford at home Tuesday, January 14 for their next match.
