NORWICH – NBT Bank’s Deborah Elwood recently earned the Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) designation through the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Elwood serves as Corporate Training Administrator for NBT and is based in Norwich.
“We are extremely proud of Deb earning this professional achievement,” said Catherine Scarlett, Chief Human Resources and Ethics Officer for NBT Bank. “At NBT, we continually invest and develop our employees to help them achieve their career goals.”
“The APTD certification process produces candidates with the knowledge and skills in the basic competencies of talent development that brings significant benefit to their employers, colleagues and clients,” says Jennifer Naughton, ATD’s Senior Director of Competencies & Credentialing.
Elwood is currently the second person to earn the APTD designation in Upstate New York. To earn the APTD, she had to meet specific performance standards and demonstrate an overall understanding of the core competencies of the talent development field, and her ability to apply this knowledge in the workplace.
