Brindisi votes in opposition to War Powers Resolution to limit president on Iran

WASHINGTON – Congressman Anthony Brindisi, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, was one of the few Democrats to vote against his party's measure to restrict the military powers of the president.
The resolution was proposed by Democrats following an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Iraq by Iran-back militias and then an airstrike by U.S. Forces that killed a top Iranian General in Iraq.
The day of the vote January 9, Brindisi issued the following statement regarding his vote on the War Powers Resolution on Iran before the House of Representatives:
